SHOPPING & RETURNS
Most orders ship within 1-3 days, provided the items are in stock and there are no changes to the order. The shipping time may vary depending on the service selected during checkout. If there is any delay due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you.
No.
We often do, but extreme heat can limit shipping to early in the week to prevent candles from sitting in hot delivery trucks over the weekend. Ensure someone is available to accept deliveries during summer months to avoid candles sitting in the heat.
Yes, we can ship to PO boxes as long as they can accept deliveries. Please note, this may limit some shipping service options.
We typically ship orders within a few days. Transit times can range from 1-7 days, depending on the carrier and location. Tracking information will be provided once your order ships.
If your product is damaged upon arrival, contact us using our "Contact Us" form on the website and keep the original packaging for possible return.
Unfortunately, we do not accept returns based on fragrance preferences unless the candle is defective. We include detailed fragrance descriptions to help you make informed choices. Candles make great gifts if the scent doesn't suit you.
PRODUCT FAQs
Candles can discolor or fade when exposed to intense light for prolonged periods or stored in warm, humid areas. Avoid displaying candles in direct sunlight, fluorescent lighting, or other strong illumination. Wax may soften in temperatures over 80°F. Store candles in a cool, dry place if they will be kept for an extended time.
We use various waxes depending on the product but primarily focus on beeswax, which will be specified on each product page. Most of our products are made with soy blends and coconut blends.
We use a range of wicks, including cotton core, flat braid, and threaded cotton wicks. Each type has specific benefits such as keeping the wick centered or reducing soot and smoke. We do not use lead wicks; lead wicks have been banned in the U.S. for many years.
Yes, trimming the wick is essential. If you see a carbon buildup ("mushroom") or if the wick is long, trim it to 1/4" before lighting. Trimming keeps the flame manageable, reduces smoke and soot, and extends the candle's life. It also helps prevent the wick from bending into the wax.
Some wax hang-up is normal, especially at the start. This usually corrects itself as the candle burns down. Excessive tunneling can be due to production errors or burning the candle for too short a period. Ensure you burn your candle for at least 3-4 hours or until the wax pool reaches the container's edge.
This can be due to an untrimmed wick or drafts from nearby windows, doors, or vents. Ensure the wick is trimmed and place the candle in a draft-free area to avoid smoke.
A "mushroom" is a carbon buildup that can occur due to fragrance oil traveling up the wick. This is normal but should be removed before relighting by trimming the wick after the candle has cooled.
Avoid blowing out the flame directly, as it can cause smoke and melted wax to splatter. Use a wick snuffer or, if safe, cover the candle with its lid to suffocate the flame.
No, our wicks do not contain lead. We have never used lead wicks, and lead wicks have been banned in the U.S. for years.
While we do not recommend refilling jars due to potential weakening, they can be reused for other household purposes such as storage for small items. Most local recycling programs will also accept empty jars.
For safety reasons, discontinue use when only 1/2 inch of wax remains. Burning the candle to the bottom can cause the glass to overheat, potentially leading to cracking. Always burn candles on heat-resistant surfaces.
